It began with an island vacation, a wild idea and a baby in tow.
Our story
North Shore Vans began as a way to help travelers learn about the island, immerse in the local culture and integrate with Maui’s endless outdoor recreation in a unique way. Being able to enjoy Maui from a different point of view and connect with the outdoors is an experience that will expand your adventurous soul.
That was certainly the case for us when we took our 6 month old daughter to Maui for 5 days of camping. We were drawn to the adventure by the promise of connection to the land and perfect outdoor temps, ease of travel and simplicity that only the minimalism of a camping experience can provide. It ended up being a trip of a lifetime.
A year later, looking for a full-time adventure of our own, ownership of North Shore Vans transferred into our hands and now we get the pleasure of helping other travelers and locals like you enjoy the incredible beauty and excitement of cruising Maui in your own camper van!
We’re Jason and Emily – travelers and entrepreneurs who are fortunate to call Maui home. Along with our young daughter and pup, we’ve loved exploring the island from mauka to makai.
We hope each person who visits Maui gets the opportunity to feel the magic of warmth on your face as you step into the morning sun, ocean waves lulling you to sleep at night, and breathe in the sweet plumeria air as you wander around on island time.
